Ms. Nielsen has some fun plans for Staff Appreciation Week again this year and she would love if the students could help out!

For example, Monday, she would like the staff to be showered with notes thanking them - maybe include something their teacher taught them, or a memory from earlier in the year...

Do you know a Little Cedars volunteer who knocks your socks off? Who has spent years helping in the classroom, leading clubs or events, and making a difference in the community?
 
How about an educator who goes above and beyond to enhance the education of all children?
 
Little Cedars PTA is proud to continue the tradition of recognizing the people who give the most to our community, with the Golden Acorn and Outstanding Educator awards! Candidates are required to be PTA members, demonstrate service to all students, and extend their volunteer service into the community. Any PTA member can nominate someone for these awards.

Each honoree will receive a Golden Acorn pin and a special plaque, and a contribution will be made in their name to the Washington State PTA Scholarship Foundation to provide scholarships for post-secondary students. Any PTA member may nominate an award recipient.
 
Nominations are due by May 10, 2024. Please see the nomination forms (Golden Acorn Award or Outstanding Educator Award) for what information to e-mail to president@littlecedarspta.org.

It’s a spring tradition and a way to be part of Little Cedars for years to come!  

Purchasing a brick paver to have engraved with a personal message is a Little Cedars Tradition. Be a part of Little Cedars for generations to come! Each brick measures 8" x 8" and will fit 4 lines of text up to 18 characters each (including spaces). The PTA will install your paver in front of Little Cedars Elementary over the summer. With the help of our Little Cedars Community, we were able to raise the full $3, 600 to complete the Window Wrap project that was started this fall. Not only will our building be even more inviting, our staff and students will be more safe and secure with the completion of the Window Wrap on the front of the school building.

We are so grateful to all of our wonderful volunteers!
